Enhancing The Roles Of Taiwan Farmers Associations In Response To Changes In Food Consumption

This paper has shown how food consumptions patten has change in Taiwan. The changing food consumptions pattern has also shift the roles of farmers. In this paper present the date of food consumption and reason of changes, lead to the questions of new policy problem. Due to the increase in personal disposable income and more westernized life style, food selection is more diversified and specially consumes less on the vegetables.
Therefore, we came out new agricultural innovation program to solve the consumption problem form agriculture. By encourage farmers to grow import-substituted crops or non-genetically modified soy beans or corns on fallow lands and associate TFAs( Taiwan farmer association) to help famers connect with  government to promote policy if food security such us encourage the young farmers to grow imported substitute crops and develop more variety and   premium agricultural products.
