In this article, the impacts of TPP/RCEP accession on the Agricultural industry of Chinese Taipei are discussed. Doctor Yang, Min-Hsien first analyzed the current situation of TPP/RCEP, and showed that the most important reason why Chinese Taipei had no choice but to keep up working and connecting to the international organization.
Second, the challenges for the agriculture sector of Chinese Taipei include market openness, food safety and animal/plants quarantine investigation, and subsidization offer. Doctor Yang also analyzed the costs and benefits of market openness on TPP/RCEP accession.
The third part of the article talks about important policy strategy towards economic liberalization, we need to upgrade the industry structure towards a new value of innovation for international competiveness.
